There is a lovely TV programme on TG4 Wednesday next 13/5 at 21.30 called An Bhoirinn which features Múinteoir Pádraig and his family throughout – I have seen a clip and it’s one worth recording for the children to watch.
We are still waiting for some families to return the dialann from 30/4 to the Múinteoir Ranga. You could take a picture of the work and send it or have it typed. There are also quite a few families who haven’t sent back permission for Seesaw in order to get the access code from the teacher. Seesaw is a new teaching tool for us all – we will be using it but also sending out the usual work timetable. With Seesaw you will be able to send the work back to the teacher who can correct and comment. Pointers will be given to the children from the work corrected – as in certain spellings or grammar rules to work on from the work corrected.
We are trying to do our best to make things better for all pupils and parents. We are also aware that not everyone has access to good internet. Please do not worry if that’s the case. We are trying to have a platform which will make it easy for all to communicate with us however if you are happier sending an email to the teacher please do so.
It is very important to us that we hear back from all families to ensure we know that all is ok at home and no one is struggling too much with the work. We also need to ensure that everyone is receiving our communication. If you haven’t been in contact with either myself or your class teacher up until now, please do so – send a short email to let us know that all is ok and you are receiving the communication from us.
A number of people have also been in contact about collecting books from the school. At present we are not allowed access to the school. I will send out notice on the school app when I am back in the school.
The class and learning support teachers will be sending out their work for next week.
