Tuairiscí Scoile School Reports: Bhí na Tuairiscí Scoile ar fail le bailiú ón oifig an tseachtain seo. School reports were available for colletion this week. Any questions see Múinteoir. Help with Translations available from Oifig or Múinteoirí.
Míle buíochas do chuile duine a tháinig isteach chun an tuairisc scoile agus leabhar liosta 19/20 a bhailiú. Aon duine nach bhfuair iad is féidir iad a fháil ón oifig ar an Luan. Many thanks to all those who already collected the school reports and book lists. Those who have yet to collect them can pick them up from the oifig on Monday.
Book lists were also included with the reports. Could we ask you when labelling your childs books to put a sticker with their name on it on the OUTSIDE of the books. This makes it easier when distributing the books in class during the year. Míle buíochas.
Lá Spóirt – Míle Buíochas! Bhí an-lá go deo againn ar fad ag an Lá Spóirt agus bailíodh go leor airgid. A huge thank you to all who helped with the BBQ on Lá Spóirt, it all ran very smoothly, the rain held off and children were fed in record time! Go raibh mile maith agaibh!! The proceeds of the day were over €1100 and it went to Oranmore First Responders and The Sanctuary Clarenbridge.‘Go raibh míle maith agaibh’to everyone who helped out at the BBQ on Lá Spóirt. It all contributed to the smooth running of the event. Cáirde are very grateful for the generous sponsorship received from Joyces and Colleran’s Butchers towards the event. A special thanks to Karen Molloy who has run the event for the past number of years. This is her last year with us. Let’s hope her shoes can be filled!!

Leigheas/ Medication
De réir polasaí na scoile, caithfidh aon leigheas atá ar scoil a bheith bailithe agus tugtha abhaile don samhradh. Déan teaghmáil le Múinteoir Ellie ar an lá deirneach do do pháiste a bheith ar scoil chun é a bhailiú.
It is school policy that any medication belonging to your child/children at school has to be sent home at the end of the school year. To collect medication, please come to Múinteoir Ellie on the last day that your child will be at school. Míle Buíochas.
Uachtar Reoite!! ‘IceCream Friday’ Down’s Syndrome Ireland Fundraiser inniu. Síntiús per clann. Inniu an 14ú, anyone who has not donated can send their donation in on Monday. All for Down’s Syndrome Ireland.
Beidh lá CLG ag rang 1-3 i Mearaí ar an Luan an 17ú. Oranmore GAA have arranged a morning of games in Maree for first to third classes on June 17th. This is the day which was previously cancelled due to inclement weather – let’s hope Monday is better.
Caillte agus faighte/Lost and Found – Beidh gach rud a bhí fagtha sa chaillte agus faighte i mbliana fagtha san fhorhalla sa halla an tseachtain seo chugainn. Beidh aon rud nach bhfuil tógtha tugtha don Naomh Uinseann de Pól ag deireadh mí Meitheamh. Anything that has been left in the lost and found throughout the year will be left in the foyer of the halla next week. Please come in and look through. Any items not claimed will be donated to the St. Vincent de Paul at the end of June.
Céimniú Rang a 6
Beidh céimniú Rang a 6 ar siúl ar an Luan an 24ú Meitheamh ag 7in Táimid ag súil le sibh agus bhur gclann a fheiceail. Rang a 6 will have their graduation ceremony on Monday 24th at 7pm. We look forward to seeing them and their families.
Campaí i rith an tsamhraidh – beidh eolas faoi campaí ar bord i Mórhalla na scoile ón Luan ar aghaidh. Information on Summer Camps which have come in to the school will be available in the School’s main foyer from Monday.
Modh Maoinithe na Scoile– School Payment Scheme
D’éirigh thar cinn leis an gcoras íocaíochta i mbliana. Leanfaimid leis an gcoras sin. Clúdóidh sé gach rud seachas an Book Rental (agus Fidil). The new payment system which we brought in two years ago has proved to be a great success and will continue. As last year, all expenses will be covered EXCEPT the book rental (and Fidil which is optional). I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who supported the scheme – making the office work a lot easier. We will send out the leaflets with the information for next year’s payments in September.
Comórtas Iomána Kyle Mhic Bhrain (1993-2008) Kyle Hurling Cup
Ar siúl Dé Céadaoin, 19 Meitheamh, ó na 10.00am go 2 pm. Craobh ar a 1.30pm. Bronnadh Chorn Kyle (Rang a 6, 2006) ag a 2 pm. Takes place on Wednesday 19th from 10.00 to 2 pm at the Community Centre Pitch. The Hurling team now gets to take on 8 other schools from Dublin, Kilkenny, Athlone, Loughrea, Tullamore, Athenry and other local Gaelscoileanna. July 7th marks the 11th Anniversary of Kyle’s death and our thoughts are very much with Kyle’s family during these few weeks.
Kyle graduated from Rang a 6 in 2006. Parents and Classmates of Kyle help not alone with the running of the Competition but also provide catering to the teams who travel from all over Ireland. Buns, Rice crispie buns, etc are very welcome and should be dropped off at the Community Centre or here at the school on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning. Any parents who are free on Wed morning who can help with catering will be most welcome. This Competition will go ahead even if it’s very wet.
Speaclaí faighte – There was a pair of pink and black child’s glasses found on the pitch after the Lá Spóirt.
